Are you concerned about teen mental health, and want to know how to offer meaningful support?
Youth are facing increased pressure at a time when their brains are still developing.
Many teens are stressed about mental, social and emotional issues at home, school, work, in the community or online.
While they are trying to figure out who they are, youth might be struggling with anxiety, depression or other mental health concerns.
As they learn to cope with a changing brain and body, some teens find themselves stuck in habits and cycles they can't break.
Left unaddressed, these challenges can strain family relationships, escalate health risks, and leave children feeling misunderstood or unsupported. As a caring adult, you can foster healthy coping skills and open communication in youth.
Whether you’re a parent navigating life at home or a professional seeking effective strategies, it is important to learn about the different topics affecting teen mental health, including substance use, vaping, video games, anxiety and stress.
That’s why Therapy Alberta is teaming up with Recovery Alberta to offer a free 6-Week Online Program for Parents and Professional: Supporting Youth Mental Health.
