Therapy Alberta is hiring experienced therapists to provide trauma-informed online and in-person therapy with clients throughout Alberta. We are looking for Independent Contractor Psychologists, Social Workers, and Certified Canadian Counsellors living in Alberta to work full- or part-time hours. Requirements
-
Master’s Degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology
-
Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists, Alberta College of Social Workers, or a Certified Canadian Counsellor with CCPA
-
Maintain professional liability insurance with additional cyber coverage
-
1+ year clinical therapy experience post-graduation
-
Computer with high-quality webcam and private, quiet working space
-
Live in Alberta and agree to provide online therapy only to those living in Alberta
Assets
-
Skilled in the treatment of complex trauma and dissociative disorders
-
Advanced education and training in trauma-focused and mind-body modalities (EMDR, Sensorimotor, Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, etc)
-
Approved provider for insurance, including NIHB or Medavie (CF, RCMP, VA)
-
Willingness to contribute to public education through articles, blogs, and resources
About the Position

Provide in-person and online therapy services as per the guidelines of your regulatory body
-
Manage client caseload and files
-
Schedule and reschedule client appointments

Maintain schedule and billing on Jane app
-
Maintain clinical competence and engage in external consultation, supervision and continuing education
Commitment
-
Asking for a commitment of 10 – 25 hours per week

Compensation is based on a competitive 70/30% split with therapist openness to sliding scale fees

Start Date: Winter 2024
Contract Length: 12 months with annual renewals

Therapy Alberta is seeking enthusiastic volunteers who want to get experience in a private practice setting to assist with clinic operations and community engagement. This role will involve you in a busy online therapy private practice. Volunteers are essential to our mission and help us increase mental health awareness, offer public education, maintain high-quality mental health care, and better serve our communities.
